Cold Blooded Country: A Halloween Mixtape
Filed under: Mixtapes | Posted by:

Happy Halloween! We decided to put together a little mixtape for the day and came up with a collection of creepy, old murder ballads. With lines like “She never spoke another word, I only beat her more, Until the ground around me within her blood did flow”,  who knew country could be so gruesome? Or as Jenna put it “WHAT?! I need to actually start paying attention to the lyrics of some of these old songs.” So pop these tunes in the old stereo and enjoy them…while you still can (dun dun dun).

Cold Blooded Country: A Halloween Mixtape

1. Porter Wagoner- First Mrs Jones
2. Louvin Brothers- Knoxville Girl
3. Stanley Brothers- Little Glass of Wine
4. Dock Boggs- Pretty Polly

7. Doc Watson and Clarence Ashley- Little Sadie
8. Stanley Brothers- Poor Ellen Smith
9. Woody Guthrie- Philadelphia Lawyer
10. The Country Gentleman- The Story of Charlie Lawson

+ bonus tracks (these versions were so good I had to include them)
