The folks at Goldenvoice actually managed to pull together some interesting characters for this year’s Coachella lineup, which will be taking place April 17-19 in Indio, California. If you only choose one day to attend, Friday wins the cake with Paul McCartney, Leonard Cohen (this will be one of only two shows that he’s playing in the US), Beirut, Noah and the Whale and more. Saturday also holds up pretty well with it’s assortment of folky indie acts like the Fleet Foxes, Band of Horses, Dr Dog, Drive By Truckers and Blitzen Trapper, though most of those bands I would much prefer to see in a small club than on a giant polo field. All in all I must say, well done Goldenvoice!

Tickets go onsale today and if you don’t feel like ponying up massive amounts of cash all at once, they are actually offering a layaway plan. You will have two options besides money up front when buying a $269 three-day pass: pay half down and the rest April 1, or pay 10% followed by equal installments on March 1 and April 1 without interest or additional fees. The plans are sold only online and aren’t available for $99 single-day admission.
