Clarence White takes lead vocals on Lowell George of Little Feat’s “Truck Stop Girl” in Belgium in 1971. The Byrds lineup at that time was Roger McGuinn/guitar, Gene Parsons/drums, Clarence White/guitar and Skip Battin/bass.

I wonder if, had he not been killed, Clarence would have developed his singing into a viable solo career. I think its possible. If nothing else, he would have become a lot more famous as a country-style guitar hero. Real shame.
Comment by Paul 02.26.09 @ 10:32 pmI agree Paul. He died only two years after this video was filmed in 1973. So sad. I think it’s time that someone put out some sort of retrospective/compilation on him.
