Here are pics from the Clem Snide show on Tuesday night at Spaceland. The newly reunited Snide, featuring Eef Barzelay on vocals/guitar, Ben Martin on drums and Brendan Fitzpatrick on bass played songs spanning their entire catalogue. Their catchy tunes paired with Eef’s witty side banter and occasional on the spot song creations entertained the crowd to no end. And finally! A musician that actually admits to loving Los Angeles (unlike Chad Vangaalen and a host of other bands that I’ve seen recently who always found a way to insert a little LA-bashing into their repertoire). Eef spoke of Los Angeles like a long lost lover saying things like “Oh Los Angeles, sometimes I watch you undress through the eyes of a falcon.” Kinda creepy but kind of brilliant at the same time. Well Clem Snide, Los Angeles has missed you and welcomes you back with open arms! Just don’t leave us again, ok? Check out more pics, taken by India Brookover, after the jump.
