Mark your calendars now! On Friday, November 20th we will be taking over the Bootleg Theater for an evening to celebrate the songs of Neil Young and to support the Children’s Music Fund, a local non-profit organization that provides musical instruments and Music Therapy to children with chronic and life altering illness.

The night will feature performances of Neil Young songs by Delta Spirit, Jason Simon of Dead Meadow, Ferraby Lionheart, The Parson Redheads, Leslie Stevens of Leslie and the Badgers, The Chapin Sisters, Family of the Year, Justin Gordon, Restavrant, Shakey Graves and the Dark Horse House Band featuring Andy Creighton of The World Record/Parson Red Heads, Brian Whelan and Dan Iead of The Broken West, Josh Charney of Le Switch, John Hoskinson and Rob Douglas.

Plus DJ sets by Turquoise Wisdom (who made those amazing Bootcut Classics Mixtapes for us last month), music inspired crafts with the lovely Kelly Holbrook of Benny Kelly AND Sterling Andrews (Gooseberries) will host a Neil Young inspired photo booth. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door and you can buy them here. Stay tuned to When You Awake for more details! If you missed our George Harrison Tribute in September, you can click here to check out pics and more from the event.
