Filed under: Vinyl Picks | Posted by:

Vinyl Picks: a weekly column were we recommend three vinyl records that every When You Awake reader should own. This week, we are focusing on Beach Boys-related LPs. First up, we have Dennis Wilson’s 1977 record Pacific Ocean Blue. It’s his only solo record and was the very first solo record recorded by any Beach Boy. They are currently selling a used copy of the record at Amazon for $10 (usually they go for around $30). Click here to check it out.

Next up, we have The Beach Boys 1965 covers record, Beach Boys’ Party!. It was recorded in a recording studio, but has the sound and feel of a live party. The record features versions of The Beatles’ “Tell Me Why”, “You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away” and “I Should Have Known Better”, The Everly Brothers’ “Devoted To You”, The Regents’ “Barbara Ann” and more. They have the Buy It Now option set up (no bidding required) for $7.99. Click here to check it out.
