Last week, PBS aired a great new Merle Haggard documentary called Merle Haggard: Learning to Live with Myself. It’s a candid documentary about the country legend and includes interviews with John Fogerty, Kris Kristofferson, Keith Richards, Tanya Tucker, Robert Duvall, Don Was and Dwight Yoakam among others. In addition, the documentary, which was filmed over a period of three years, features incredible live concert footage, rare archive videos and some really moving scenes of Merle driving around his hometown of Oildale, California.
