On February 17, 1969, Bob Dylan was joined by Johnny Cash at CBS studios in Nashville, TN, where Dylan was recording tracks for his upcoming album,  Nashville Skyline. The legendary pair recorded several tracks over the next two days, including “One Too Many Mornings,” “Girl From The North Country,” and “Wanted Man.” This film footage  — possibly revealing that the song was originally titled “A Thousand Miles Behind” — was later included in a documentary called The Other Side Of Nashville which was released in July 1984. Dylan’s “Girl From The North Country” ended up being the only duet of theirs released on Nashville Skyline, but numerous studio tracks and attempts at other duets have been shared between fans for years. Check out another great duet from Dylan/Cash after the jump.
