Yeah yeah yeah. Everyone and their momma has posted about the Fleet Foxes upcoming sophomore record, Helplessness Blues, which is set to be released May 3, 2011 via Sub Pop/Bella Union. But this track is really good…so we just couldn’t pass it up. Plus! Tickets just went on sale today for their May 7th gig at the Hollywood Palladium, and they just announced two one-off dates in London: May 31st and June 1st at the Hammersmith Apollo. No doubt all these shows will sell out so get your tix now.

Denver-based musician Nathaniel Rateliff recently attracted our attention with a pair of tunes sent our way by a lovely loyal reader (“Early Spring Till” and “Pounds and Pounds” to be exact. Search them out!). The tracks are absolutely beautiful and we are very much looking forward to checking out one of his upcoming shows in London this month, including a sold out gig alongside Caitlin rose at Barfly for HMV’s Next Big Thing on February 11th and Communion’s Party at the Notting Hill Arts Club on February 13th.

Lastly, we have James Apollo with his upcoming new release, Born Lucky, a career-spanning compilation record due out April 11th. He, too, has a handful of upcoming UK tour dates, including gigs in London at the Slaughtered Lamb on February 11th and the Bull & Gate on February 18th. You can be sure you’ll see us at at least one of them.
