Lissie’s cover of the Pretenders’ “2,000 Miles” from a show she did last December at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London. You can hear the rest of the concert (minus this cover) on her new live CD/DVD combo called Live at Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

Frontier Ruckus
Orion Town, Michigan- based bandĀ Frontier Ruckus covered this The Everly Brothers tune last year in London during their Peckham Sessions. They are currently in the midst of recording their new album and you can follow all of their in-studio antics via theirĀ  Twitter page (90s sitcom theme song piano, anyone?).

the trekky yuletideLastly, we have The Trekky Yuletide Orchestra with their rendition of the holiday standard, “In The Bleak Midwinter”. The Trekky Yuletide Orchestra is a holiday supergroup composed of members of every band on Trekky Records (Lost in the Trees, Midtown Dickens and more). The band was formed to create a Christmas album called A New Old Fashioned Christmas with proceeds from the record benefiting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
