On February 1, 1964, Bob Dylan appeared on the Canadian TV program Quest. The entire 27-minute clip is below and includes a 22-year old Dylan performing “The Times They Are A Changin'”, “Talkin’ World War III Blues”, “Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll”, “Girl From The North Country”, “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall” and “Restless Farewell”. Yes he’s my hero, too! He worked really hard all through his career and it always seemed so effortless. Live strong Bob Dylan.

I can well remember 1964. I don’t know anyone who can write songs like Dylan and to think he was 22 years old

I saw him live in Vancouver 2 years later (March ’66). He is undeniably the greatest wordsmith in the English language since Shakespeare. Anyone who does not realize and know and feel that is an idiot!
