Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros- Mayla
Frequent Edward Sharpe collaborator Aaron Embry has announced that his beautiful three year old daughter, Mayla, who was the subject of this song, has been diagnosed with leukemia. In his own words:
Every day in the United States, an average of 3 children are diagnosed with leukemia. This past August 12th, our daughter Mayla Ray was one of them. May the Longtime Sun shine upon all the families who share this fate with us, and may the Love Light within thrive and prevail, bringing ULTIMATE HEALING TO ALL! Amen! Thank you all for sending your Prayerful Love Vibrations. The Angels have heard you and are delivering their miracles with every moment…”
I had the honor of spending a week with the family aboard the Railroad Revival Tour train and they are such beautiful and kind people. Please take a moment to join me in sending them healing love and prayers!
