Just a few days after Richie Havens, we have to say goodbye to the one and only George Jones. What a week. Rest in peace, George! I’m pulling out my jar of Ole Smoky Moonshine’s White Lightnin’ and having one in your honor.

The Avett Brothers Sing, Pretty Girl from Annapolis

The Avett Brothers performing a backstage acoustic version of their tune “Pretty Girl From Annapolis” from 2003’s A Carolina Jubilee. Around the 3:20 mark, Seth breaks into a bit of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” before returning to the original tune.

Pendleton has teamed up with San Francisco-based graphic artist and retailer Benny Gold and bag company Jansport on a new collaboration set to be released August 1, 2013. The collection includes three backpacks to choose from: the Compadre, the Adobe, and the Oswego, the last of which comes with an exclusive graphic Pendleton wool blanket, alongside a selection of laptop and tablet sleeves.
