When You Awake presents GOLD DUST’S LAST STAND tonight, Thursday, April 15th at Footsies in Highland Park/Mt Washington. After hosting the event for a year, Victoria and I have decided that it’s time to take a little break and focus on some new projects that we have in the works.  So though this will be the last Gold Dust for a while, never you fret. We’ll be back soon in one way or the other and already have some fun one-off ideas that we’re tossing around. So kick off your shoes, order up a good bourbon and get down to your favorite dual slide guitar screamin’ swampy southern rock scorchers, classic and psyche-country jams and our special late night blues-hop dance party one last time. Wilson is an amazing musician who has worked and performed with Will Oldham, Andy Cabic (Vetiver), Chris Robinson (Black Crowes), Benji Hughes, Dawes and Jenny Lewis among many others. Kelsey has spun everywhere from La Cita to the Standard to LA Record’s Christmas Party and has hosted a show on Little Radio for years.  She’s a wiz on the turntables (vinyl only of course) and a sight for sore eyes.
